Tamara Alves was invited to create a mural on the theme of the European pillar of social rights for the European summit in Porto.

The artist wanted to evoke unity, freedom and fraternity. "We are one, like a string or a garland, intertwined in an embrace, a support, offering a flower... reaching out.

Flowers symbolise inner evolution, the long road we travel as human beings. This evolution goes hand in hand with taking care of this flower, taking care of each other, taking care of ourselves. We are all one.
