Painter to Madrid - Spain
Fabio Lopez (Madrid, 1985) alias DOURONE is a Spanish artist who, since 1999, has been working as a graffiti artist in the streets of Madrid, his native city.
Very early on, he was involved in the creation of sets for film, television and advertising productions for international brands such as Pointer, Levis, Austin Mini, Lacoste. He has also contributed to the sets of fashion photographer Eugenio Recuenco.
In 2012, he joined forces with Elodie Arshak.
The Dourone duo then became involved in international muralism, painting a total of 104 large-scale frescoes in 21 countries and 64 cities.
In parallel, their works are exhibited in galleries in Madrid, Barcelona, Paris, Los Angeles, Dubai, Geneva, Miami, Mulhouse, Atlanta, Munich, Denver, Brussels, Hangzhou.
From 2012 to 2017 their work is based on the concept of SENTIPENSING: Feeling with the head, Thinking with the heart.
From 2017 to 2021, they create the FRAGMENTED RECORD concept: a record about the adaptation of the human species to our ever changing planet.
Currently, they are working on a style of narrative figuration representing everyday human behaviour and society and its questioning, creating a method of image compositions with which they manage to tell a reflection in an explanatory way, through a colour code that accompanies the coherence in their compositions.
