Flowerhouse

This major public artwork occupies the surface of a historical building overlooking the Surry Hills light rail station. The artwork was created as a celebration of the area’s rich history as a textile district and makes reference to the floral motifs of renowned local textile designer Lola Phillips.

The Surry Hills Flowerhouse was commissioned with the support of The city of Sydney, The Surry Hills Creative Precinct and Transport NSW.
